Message from our Superintendent Dr. Garcia regarding Washington D.C. meeting with lawmakers.

I am humbled by the opportunity to speak in Washington D.C., as part of the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools’ fourth annual School Leaders of Color Capitol Hill Action Initiative. It is with great honor to be able to share the academic and financial successes we have accomplished to date. As your Superintendent, I am fully committed to meeting the needs of ALL students in our district. As a former migrant worker, I had to struggle and work extra hard for my education. My goal is to alleviate the struggles our students face and help them have a smooth transition from Pre-K through High School and beyond. I will share the Vanguard story and our focus on Providing a Purpose in Life and a Reason for Learning through our Fine Arts Program. Charter Schools have stepped in to offer students and parents a Choice when it comes to education. We are privileged that you have chosen Vanguard Academy for your child’s education. We are committed to serving you and your family. Please click on the attached link for more information on my visit to Washington D.C. www.the74million.org
