Today our Spartans came together to celebrate kindness, acceptance, and inclusion during Unity Day! ✨
Students showed their support by wearing orange and participating in our Friendship Bracelet Workshop.💫
Each bracelet represented a promise to stand up for others, be a friend, and help make our school a safe, welcoming place for everyone. 💛💙

The Homecoming Parade was all about celebrating our amazing seniors ....the Class of 2026! 🎓🚗✨
They showed off their creativity and school spirit by decorating their cars and leading the way in true Spartan style.
Students from elementary to high school joined in the fun, showing what it truly means to be part of the Spartan family. Once a Spartan, always a Spartan! 💪💙
On Thursday, October 2nd, Vanguard Academy hosted the first Superintendent’s Parent Roundtable of the year at the San Juan Memorial Library. Parents joined Superintendent Dr. Marisol Rocha for an engaging discussion on district initiatives, school updates, and ways families can help shape the future of our schools.
💬 The roundtable created a space to:

✅ Share ideas & feedback
✅ Connect with other parents
✅ Participate in a Q&A session
🗓 Monthly meetings will continue through May 2026, and we look forward to welcoming more families to future sessions!

Today we proudly hosted our very first Spartan Spotlight Awards Ceremony at Rembrandt Secondary! 🌟
The Spartan Spotlight was created to shine a light on the character, effort, and growth of our students. While academics matter, being a true Spartan means living out the values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety. The foundation of the Emergent Tree framework.
Every six weeks, teachers will nominate students who demonstrate these values in action. For September, we honored our Self-Starter Award recipients. Students who discover their strengths, set personal goals, and show self-motivation every day.
Congratulations to our 5th–12th grade Spartans who were recognized today. You inspire us all, and we are so proud of you! 💙💛

This week, our students filled our sidewalks with words of encouragement, positivity, and hope. Every message was written straight from their hearts, reminding us all how powerful kindness and connection can be.
The beauty of this activity wasn’t just in the colors of the chalk, but in the spirit behind the words. Students lifting each other up, spreading love, and showing the true heart of our Spartan family.

Our Vanguard Academy volleyball teams (Beethoven, Mozart, Rembrandt and Van Gogh) attended the UTRGV Volleyball match against Lamar University.
It was a 3-0 sweep!

🌟 Hope in Action at Rembrandt Secondary 🌟
Our 8th grade students had the opportunity to fill our sidewalks with words of encouragement, positivity, and hope!
Through our Chalk Walk, they wrote uplifting messages that inspired kindness, connection, and support for one another. The goal was simple yet powerful: to remind everyone that even small words of encouragement can make a big difference.
This activity was about more than just chalk . It was about creating a culture of care, empathy, and belonging at Rembrandt. Together, our Spartans spread hope, lifted each other up, and brightened someone’s day with a message.
